Emily's Heart- Jamie T

I went through a phase over this past summer where I just was so obsessed with all Jamie T's music, and the past couple of months have been the second wave. I have not been listening to solely Jamie T, but Panic Prevention and Kings & Queens have been on play a lot recently. His albums contain so many different genres, but still all tie into each other. This song is very beautiful, and when I first heard it last summer, I didn't love it too much, but after the fifth play I remember thinking, wow how could anyone hate this song? My curiosity is currently turned to where Jamie T is/where has he been! I really hope he emerges from wherever and comes out with a new album soon, his music is some of my favorite that has been released in the past decade.

A really great thing happened to me last week. I went to the movies and afterward I went to the record shop that is just down the street, and I was looking through as I usually do. Then, I got to the J's and I found Jamie T's Kings & Queens. I had never seen any Jamie T their before so I was so excited and surprised. Also, it was used (with no scratches), so it was only 5 dollars! I was so happy and I have been listening to the record a lot lately. Although, I do like Panic Prevention a bit better, Kings & Queens is a very close second. This is one of my favorite songs off the album. I wonder where Jamie T is, he seems to have fallen of the face of the planet really, he hasn't had anything come out in a while and I really hope he has something come out soon. He's really fantastic in my opinion.

I fell in love with Jamie T's music at the beginning of this past summer. Around May/ June 2011 I just loved his voice and the beat to his music. I spent all May, June, and July listening to solely Jamie T and then I over did it and killed it. Now, I am starting to listen to his music again since July which is when my first overdose ended. Now I think round two is coming on....

I actually kind of have an embarrassing moment that goes along with this song. I was in the car with my friend and I had my ipod plugged in so we didn't have to listen to the radio. So I started to play this song because  I knew she liked Jamie T. Then she said, "This song reminds me of London" So, then I said "Me too" Then she said "No, I mean, it reminds me of when I used to live there because I remember when this song came out and me and my sister used to listen to it".  And me, never having even been to London saying it reminded me of London sounded so so stupid looking back on it because really what I meant was "his voice sounds so English" or something like that. She, can definitely say it reminded her of London because she was born there and lived there for twelve years.

Errmm. Please don't get me started with this song, I can't begin to explain how amazing it is. I have listened to it non-stop for the past 5 days. On my computer or on my ipod, but I am not exaggerating. I have a bad obsession with his voice. Ahhh, Jamie T's voice is the best, just listen to it. The first play: "This is a nice song." Second Play: "Actually, this song is really good" Third Play: "Uh-oh..." Fourth Play- One Hundredth Play: "Again! Again!" Millionth Play: "Okay, now it's getting a little old, but I am still going to listen to it" Two Millionth Play: "I cannot believe I just played a song that many times." Three Millionth Play: "I am never going to listen to this song again." Anyways, that is the process of this song.  I am probably on my seventieth play or so.... The lyrics are brilliant, that is one of the reasons I love Jamie T's songs. I really enjoy the way he says "Smack Jack the cracker man" but the lyrics themselves are great, but I really just like the way he says "Smack Jack the cracker man" The photo above is Jamie T.
