Ahh, I am so so excited to see them at Coachella. Recently, I went to this art gallery and this really cool photographer named Hedi Slimane had all these awesome photographs that were California themed. Well, the exhibition is called California Song.... Anyway, there were several photos downstairs, but when I went upstairs their were a few projectors that projected her pictures on to this giant cube. The pictures change probably every 7 or so seconds, but there were so many and they were all so neat and intriguing. There are several pictures of Christopher Owens (the lead singer in Girls) and a few other musicians but it was a really cool exhibit. Maybe it is because I am from California so the whole "California theme" might be a bit more personal to me but overall, I think it as really interesting art. Above are some photos from the show of Christopher Owens and of the giant cube I was talking about.

This band always has the best music videos. I think that the lead singer, Christopher Owens is very "cool" because he just appears to be such an individual and really confident in who he is which I admire a lot. The only reason I use the word "cool" in quotes is because I just don't really like the word.... I guess I don't really like to classify a person as "cool" or "uncool". What I am really trying to say is I have respect and admiration towards him.

They're playing where I live right now. Instead of being there, I am sitting at home blogging about them. Ugh,  I wanted to go so badly but I was sick all of last week and my parents are concerned I will get sick again and I have exams next week. The good news that makes tonight some-what okay is that they are most likely playing a Coachella because they came out with a new album this year and their tour schedule makes sense with the dates. I'll be at Coachella so that's why it is somewhat okay that I am not seeing them right now. I am pretty sure the link above is not an official music video.

This is one of my favorite bands and this song is amazing, just like all of their songs are. There is something about this song, lyrically, that I love. I am not too sure what it is, but I love it. I also here from a few friends that saw them in concert that they are amazing. My friend who does not even like them that much said they were amazing in concert. They played at this small festival where I live and she was walking by but she just had to stop and listen to them because they were so good. I really wish I went now.

This song reminds me a bit of one of my favorites, Girls. I am not sure why, but I feel as though people who like Girls might like this.

Okay, These following comments might be considered strange to some of you, but this song sounds a lot like it  was written based on the movie Ghost Town or vice versa . You know, the one with Ricky Gervais? Not just because I am some dumb girl who is thinks, "hmmm Ghost is in the title so it must mean the first movie that pops into my little mind that has ghost in it!" No. The lyrics, listen to them, not all of them but a lot of them.

Honestly cannot believe I have never blogged about this song. It's a little old but it is still upbeat and good to listen to.
