Me And The Moon

Me And The Moon- The Drums

I was talking about last years Coachella with my friend who I will be heading to Coachella with this April. She went last year, and I have not been before so we were discussing the different stages, exactly how many people at the stages, how hot, etc. She also started telling me her favorite acts from last years and she told me her favorite was The Drums, because she was very close to the stage, The Drums are very good live, and she loves all of their songs, especially from their debut album. I, who only knew a few songs off their debut album decided to revisit it after speaking to her. I really love this song, I think it is even my favorite out of all the songs (including the ones I knew previous) off The Drums debut, The Drums.

How It Ended

How It Ended- The Drums

A lot of people think that The Drum's first album was so much better than Portamento, but I really like Portamento. I think it is not only a great album, but I actually might even like it better than their first album.

Money

Money- The Drums

This is from their new album, Portamento, and I who am personally not a huge fan of The Drums really likes it. My expectations for this album was not too high because I only liked a couple songs from their last album. On this album there are some songs that I just love and their are others that are sort of 'whatever' to me. Parts of this song reminds me of Joy Division, but not the lyrics or his voice. I think the music video is quite interesting, in a good way.

The Five Most Beautiful Song Lyrics That I Know

These are the five most beautiful song lyrics I know of (in order):
And I will love to see that day That day was mine When she will marry me outside by the willow trees And play the songs we made They made me so And I would love to see that day Her day was mine
2. Down By The Water- The Drums
everybody's gotta love some one but i just wanna love you dear everybody's gotta feel something but i just want to be with you, my dear ................ if they stop loving you i won't stop loving you if they stop needing you i'll still need you, my dear
3. Shelter- The xx
And I'll cross oceans, like never before So you can feel the way I feel it too And I'll mirror images back at you So you can see the way I feel it too
4. A Breif History Of Love- The Big Pink
I dreamt we were sleeping and we floated away And we shone like a star and we blinded who stared We listen to the heavens at the silence above Never ask the devil to help the one that you love You said to me baby that you want to feel love Babe we gave it our all but its never enough
...................................
You're in my heart I feel true love and it wont let go It's up to you to mend my heart, please don't let go
5. Sea Of Love- Cat Power
Do you remember When we met That's the day I knew you were mine I wanna tell you How much I love you Come with me My love To the sea The sea of love

These songs actually make me want to cry because they are so beautiful and wonderful and I have never even cried because of happiness before, not once in my life, nor wanted to cry. Since I want to cry of happiness when I hear these lyrics that obviously means that they are truly beautiful. To me these are some of my favorite artists of all time. If you think about it I guess at least 70 percent of songs talk about love or some sort of love. Sometimes it is meaningless, some times it is true love (like these songs), love for the earth, love for peace, love for a friend, love for ones family, but most songs have something to do with some sort of love. Or they talk about how love is painful and love is hard and they struggle with it. By the way do not think I am some sort of intellectual who knows everything about love because I have never "been in love". Does this mean that most artists are looking for some sort of love or want to "fall in love" eventually? And if we as people who do not write songs of make music, but just love music so much does that mean we all are looking for the same thing? Are we all looking for love?

Down By The Water

Down By The Water- The Drums

This song sounds oddly familiar I feel like it was in a movie, but I have no idea which one, but I have definitely heard it before I downloaded it.
