Two Cousins

Two Cousins- Slow Club

More often than not, it takes me a couple listens before I really love a song. This is one of the not-so-often cases where I immediately started liking it the minute I heard it. I think that this song can and will appeal to a vast amount of people, all with different tastes in music. This music reminds me a little of Tom Vek's music video 'Aroused', I think mainly because of the black and white simple, sleek look. There is dancing in it as well, but a different type.

If We're Still Alive

If We're Still Alive- Slow Club

For Slow Club, the transition between their debut, Yeah So, and their second album, Paradise, has indeed been an immense one. Leaving the folk world behind and transforming into more of an alternative pop band is a change that can be extremely beneficial leaving fans wanting more or the absence of a bands original element gives off the feeling that "what is done is done and it will never be the same again".  With Slow Club, their second album is a new world compared to the first but strangely enough surpasses their debut only by an inch or two. This song is the pinnacle of the album, although others are quite impressive, none are quite as catchy or addictive.
