Smoke Ring For My Halo

Smoke Ring For My Halo- Kurt Vile

His album, Smoke Ring For My Halo, grows on me more and more each time I listen to it. When I first heard it, my reaction was something similar to: Wow, this is a really great album, one of the best of the year, but not the best. Now: Wow, how does this album get better? One of the best of 2011? No, possibly the best.

Peeping Tomboy

Peeping Tomboy- Kurt Vile

I think the lyrics of the first part of the song, more so than the second, are very relatable, they are to me and I think to most people for at least a period of their life.

Baby's Arms

Baby's Arms- Kurt Vile

I am not familiar with his other albums, so I cannot say this one is my favorite of them, but this album is really fantastic. It has a great sound. I am pretty sure that I already stated that I think it is one of the best of 2011.

Jesus Fever

Jesus Fever- Kurt Vile

I just bought his record, Smoke Ring For My Halo, on vinyl two days ago. That album is definitely in my top ten best albums of 2011. Although many people have been saying it is a bad time for music, I must disagree. I think that the music is pretty nice sounding on the ears, but I do agree with the argument that it is a boring time for music. No intensely new exciting genre has been created and their hasn't been that band that everyone loves. Their isn't much excitement, but their is still very good music being produced. This song, and this album, Smoke Ring For My Halo is fantastic.
