I have been listening to The Like a lot more than usual. I was sick last week and I was in the nurses spare room while I was waiting for my parents to pick me up. While I was in the sick room, I noticed all these yearbooks and I looked through one of them looking for Tennessee Thomas (The drummer of The Like) because I knew she went to my school and I found her. Wow, that makes me sound very creepy but I really don't mean it that way... I just was curious because I like The Like. We had career day at my school that same week and it would have been much cooler if my school had asked her to come (although if I were her I would not want to go back to my old high school to talk to a bunch of girls) rather than this woman who talked about how to compost using old toilets.... I mean, yeah that's really what we all desire to do in life.

Bhang Bhang, I'm a Burnout- Dum Dum Girls

I originally thought that I didn't like the Dum Dum Girls at all, because they did a cover of 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' by The Smiths, and I hated it, but then I realized I think I would dislike anyone who tried to do a cover of any of The Smith's songs. In my opinion no one can ever sing a song by The Smiths and do a better job than Morrissey, it's just completely impossible. But my friend and I were talking about them and she played me this song by them and I realized it's not that bad, then later I realized it's pretty good. If you like Best Coast or The Like, I think you will like this song. Part of this song really reminds me of The Like, maybe it's because they are an all-girl band, and parts really remind me of Best Coast, and honestly I have no idea why.

This is such a girly song, but I love it. The Like really really reminds me of Plastiscines. One of the main reasons I bought this song is because the drummer (Tennessee Thomas) well, she went to my school! Then I listened to the song and I realized I actually like it.
